The Lazaridis MBA provides you with the business expertise required to succeed in your career.  It also provides professional development workshops that allow you to take your career to the next level.

The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively can elevate an individual from being a mediocre manager to an exceptional one. We help our students learn and understand these concepts early in the program. Feedback and coaching are continuously provided to our students throughout their programs.
This guidance from faculty and other qualified professionals will help students develop their full personal potential.

Career Services

At Laurier, we offer many different types of career services to ensure that our Lazaridis MBA candidates are well prepared. The preparation we provide at Wilfrid Laurier University will assist students in securing the careers they are seeking. Our career services team offers workshops that provide guidance on career planning, promoting transferable skills to employers, interview preparation, networking, business etiquette, and negotiation. They will also work with you to better your resume and cover letter writing, develop winning interviewing skills, and very importantly show you the path to effective networking. We encourage our MBA candidates, and alumni, to schedule individual appointments with our dedicated MBA career services staff to receive one-on-one career counselling.

Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK)

The ASK program provides students with the opportunity to connect with Laurier alumni. Through this process students will learn first-hand about the careers alumni have successfully pursued. ASK is also a great opportunity for you to network with working professionals from Laurier who are already in the industry of your choice.

Graduating Student Employment Service

The GSES introduces students in their graduating year to opportunities in organizations through GSES job postings. These postings are searchable within our in-house database and are also distributed by email to students registered with the service.

We have more than 4000 employers that will post their job opportunities through the Laurier Career Centre annually. This attests to the quality of our graduates and the comprehensive employment services that we offer.

Specialized Programs and Resources

Throughout the program students will attend specialized workshops that will include alumni panels on career paths, industry guest speakers, employer recruiting events, and information sessions.
