A team of our Lazaridis MBA candidates have been selected as finalists in the 2019 Global Business Challenge taking place in Brisbane, Australia this September! The Global Business Challenge is a graduate business case competition with the purpose of designing sustainable solutions to global problems. Our team consisting of MBA students Carson Tarbutt, Frederick Reinink, Stephen Shannon and Brent Keen earned one of the seven spots in the finals from a field of 620 teams from 53 countries! The finalist teams will be required to develop a business case for a specified hypothetical project opportunity which will address a set of constraints specific to each finalist team’s proposed solution and will reflect real-world issues in order to make their solution a reality. Finalists will then present to a judging panel of CEOs from across industry, Government and finance sectors. The competition aims to provide a learning experience for students that will encourage collaboration, professionalism and interaction with the business community.
The Global Business Challenge gives our candidates the opportunity to put their business expertise and knowledge to the test as they continuously enhance these skills during the completion of their Lazaridis MBA degree. We are pleased to see the Lazaridis MBA positively represented in such a coveted global competition such as this. We look forward to seeing our team’s success in the competition and wish them the best as they prepare for this amazing opportunity.
