If you have been preparing to accelerate your career with a Lazaridis MBA then you have probably stumbled across the word GMAT. But what is the GMAT and how do your prepare for it?
DYK: the GMAT is the most widely used exam for graduate business school admissions. The Lazaridis MBA requires all applicants meet quantitative ability requirements and this is most easily met thru completion of the GMAT with a minimum score of 550 for our part-time and full-time degrees excluding the Full-time MBA with Co-op which requires a minimum score of 600. The recommended target score suggested by GMAC itself for all potential candidates is a score of 650+ as this will not only separate you from the competition but also ensure you are exceeding the minimum requirements. Now that you know what the GMAT requirements are let’s get into what makes up the exam.
The GMAT Breakdown:
The total time you have to write the GMAT exam is 3 hours and 7 minutes with the option of two 8 minute breaks. You have the option to schedule your exam at anytime throughout the year and you can complete the GMAT multiple times. Your GMAT score is valid for five years.

62 minutes: Quantitative Reasoning

The Study Plan Blueprint:
Now that you know what GMAT exam consists of and the score you need to achieve to apply to the Lazaridis MBA program, the next step is to create a study plan that will fully prepare you. Applicants that scored 650 or above on the exam averaged between 70-90 hours of study in preparation for the GMAT.
