A winning combination for a Leader. Earn both your MBA Degree and your Master of Finance

Our double degree program, the Master of Business Administration and the Master of Finance is a full content degree that attracts keen analytical minds. This combination program provides candidates with the strategic leadership skills of the MBA, and the full breadth and depth of the Master of Finance degree, which provides technical “must-haves” for a career in asset management and investment banking.

The Lazaridis Double Degree program is unique in Canada. No other degree program of this calibre exists. We provide you with the curriculum  as well as the full content for two Master level degrees. The effectiveness of our program is evident by the calibre of leadership roles our graduates hold in business.

Offered in our convenient part-time alternating weekend schedule, at our 5-star downtown Toronto campus, the program is designed for working professionals and requires four years of part-time study to complete. The summer months of July and August are always free of classes to allow for vacation and free time. The MBA degree requires the completion of the Lazaridis Integrated 8-core courses, plus the 610 (Applied Research Consulting project) plus four MBA elective courses of your choosing. Students are also encouraged to participate in the International summer study program, which offers them a course credit in the MBA degree.

The Master of Finance consists of 10-graduate level courses. You will learn in small group settings with other finance-focused individuals and from professors who are experts in their field. The curriculum covers 100% of the CBOK for level I and level II and over 60% for level III of the CFA® exams.

“The Lazaridis finance professors are amazing. In addition to solid academia experience, many of the faculty have worked at the world’s top investment firms – the end result is a curriculum that provides you with tools and practical examples that you can apply in your finance careers. In the Laurier degree program you are not simply memorizing equations. The professors provide you with the foundation to solve problems on your own without relying on formulas – this is extremely helpful especially if you are also studying for the  CFA® exams.”
