IS THERE AN APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR ADMISSIONS?
We have rolling admission for all of our MBA programs. We encourage our applicants to apply as soon as they are ready, as the programs can fill up quickly. IF I AM AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT, WILL MY INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION BE RECOGNIZED?
We welcome applicants from all over the world to our MBA programs at both of our Waterloo and Toronto campus locations. The diversity of education, experience and culture is a great contribution to our MBA classrooms. Normally we are looking to see that you have the education equivalency to a four-year Canadian undergraduate degree in any discipline from an accredited university.
If you are a student applying on an international visa, then you will need to apply to our one year Full-time OR Full-time with Co-op MBA programs in Waterloo.
We may require you to have your education assessed by an external agency. We refer our internationally educated candidates to WES, ICAS, or Ontario Comparative Service for an assessment. Simply request a general assessment of your previous degree(s) to determine the comparative level of education in Canadian academic standards.
If you are required to complete additional education in Canada to bring your education to four-year Canadian degree equivalency please note that College certificates, College courses, and/or Continuing Studies courses do NOT count. Qualifying/eligible upgrading courses include Canadian University degree eligible half-credit courses taken at a Canadian University or College and/or a Canadian University diploma.

The confirmation deposit is applied to your first term’s tuition fees. If you cancel your accepted Offer of Admission, or if you fail to satisfy your conditions of your Conditional Offer of Admission, for the term specified on the offer before the start date of your admitted program, you will be refunded half ($500.00 of the $1000.00 confirmation deposit). CAN I TRANSFER BETWEEN MBA PROGRAMS OR BETWEEN MBA CAMPUS LOCATIONS?
- All Lazaridis MBA Degree Program options are campus-specific and are customized in duration and delivery style to their specific campus locations.
- Transfer requests between programs that are offered on the MBA Candidates home campus can sometimes be accommodated if the student has completed the Integrated Core Component and has the eligible credentials. I.e. Transferring from Full-time Waterloo to Part-time Waterloo, after the core, or transferring from the Part-time Toronto alternate weekend comprehensive MBA to the MBA with the CPA or to the double degree, MBA with Master of Finance.
- Some transfer requests between MBA campus locations have restrictions.
- All Toronto MBA programs are privatized and special fees apply. Students admitted to any of the Toronto MBA programs are expected to complete their full course of studies in the Toronto program. Students who elect to take specific MBA courses on the Waterloo Campus, do so under the terms and conditions of the Toronto program. Transfers to the Waterloo programs are only allowed in exceptional circumstances following a required two-term withdrawal from the Toronto program.
At Laurier, we are proud to offer a world-class MBA program that allows you to experience the return on your investment much quicker than any other program in Canada.
